Leadership and ego
Being a leader is a balancing act of ego. Strong personality, strong ego, are expected for others to be willing to follow the leader. On the other hand, too much of ego may quickly grow into narcissism and self indulgence. Others are easily forgotten, 'I am the only one who counts'... as a result, the leader stops being a true leader and turns to be a lonely warrior, frequently surrounded with well-deserved enemies.
